What really drives you
The same behaviour can come from different reasons. The Enneagram sorts people into nine types by why they do things, not what they do.
The nine types
Three centres × threeGut Centred on anger
Heart Centred on image and worth
Head Centred on fear
How this test finds your type
- Three broad strokes
Do you step forward, fit in or pull back? How do you handle things going wrong? What rises first when you're shaken? Where the three answers overlap is the first guess.
- Thirty-six head-to-heads
Each of the nine types meets every other once, in the same scene. You say which side you lean toward and how far, which cuts down on answering the way that sounds best.
- One more look when it's close
If the top two are neck and neck, just those two face off again on core motives. One question is asked twice with the sides swapped, and mixed answers lower the confidence.
- Top three and a confidence level
Instead of one fixed label, you get three types in order of likelihood. Read all three and you can pick the one that fits best.
