The queen sits on a throne carved with lions, a wand in one hand and a sunflower in the other. At her feet a black cat sits facing us. The Queen of Wands is someone who knows what she loves and does not hide it, and that open confidence warms the room around her.

It could be you or someone near you. The senior colleague who changes the mood just by walking in. The friend who throws a party and people simply turn up. You, lighting up the moment talk turns to the thing you care about. Confidence draws people, and they move with the heat. This is a time when stepping forward does not look out of place.

Reversed, there are two directions. One is too much effort going into the display. On the outside it is all assurance; inside it wobbles, and a quiet response is enough to unsettle it. The other is jealousy. Other people's wins start to grate, and the fear of being displaced puts an edge on everything. The same heat that lit you up starts burning others instead.

Ask whether you would keep doing this if nobody were watching. If yes, the confidence is real. If not, the applause has become the fuel.

Some read the black cat as a bad sign. Here it is closer to the queen's other face — the stubbornness and instinct she keeps for when she is alone. A bright person does not necessarily show everything.

With the Sun, what you put out comes back to you. With the Queen of Cups, warmth and attentiveness sit together, and the result is someone who leads people while also looking after them.
