A woman in a richly patterned gown stands alone in a vineyard heavy with grapes. A hooded falcon perches on her gloved hand, nine pentacles sit among the vines, and a house stands in the distance. This is the card of enjoying, on your own, what you built on your own. Not lonely alone — the kind of alone that does not need to lean on anyone.

It usually appears when there is security you made yourself. The first year your own salary covers the rent, buying something you saved up for over years without second-guessing it, a whole Saturday spent exactly as you like. It is a time when enjoying what the effort produced is allowed.

Reversed, it goes two ways. One is ease that actually rests on someone else — a parent's card, support that could stop at any time. The other is spending for show: if the photos look great and next month's statement looks worrying, this is the version you are in.

The question is how much of what you are enjoying you could keep up with your own hands. Knowing where that line is lets you enjoy the rest without unease.

Reading it as 'getting rich' overshoots. The abundance here is about self-reliance more than size. The falcon is trained and the vineyard is tended. The picture makes it plain that this was cultivated over time, not handed over.

With the Empress the comfort and the pleasure in it double up. Next to the Hermit, watch that being alone stays comfortable rather than tipping into isolation.
