The Record Keeper
ISTJOnce it's on your plate, it gets done — properly, and on time.
You arrive five minutes early and start estimating when your late friend will actually show up.
They'll see this type's write-up. Your test answers stay with you.
Who they are
You're the one who quietly winces at a shared folder full of files named "final_FINAL_v2_reallyfinal." Your own files are dated and versioned. You trust written plans over vague promises, so when a friend texts "let's hang out sometime next week," you reply with "What day, what time, where?" and it goes straight into your calendar.
Your superpower is consistency. Good mood or bad, Monday or Friday, your work comes out at the same standard. You don't send the "so, about that deadline…" message. You can stay with spreadsheets, rules, and process long after everyone else has drifted off, which is why "who checked this?" usually ends with your name.
The weak spot is change. When plans shift last minute, something in you tenses up, and "because that's how we've always done it" can become the whole argument. You show care by doing things rather than saying them, which people sometimes misread as distance. Try leaving one blank square in the schedule on purpose. The world holds together better than you'd expect.
Strengths and blind spots
- You keep your word, every time.
- You catch the mistakes other people miss.
- Your output doesn't swing with your mood.
- Sudden plan changes drain you fast.
- You stick with the familiar way even when there's an easier one.
- You rarely say how you feel, so you can come off as cold.
In everyday life
- In love
- You won't write poems, but you'll never forget an anniversary. You're slow to commit and very hard to shake once you do. A partner who never plans anything will test your patience.
- At work
- You shine when the scope is clear. You'll take meeting notes nobody asked for, and when someone says "let's just try it," you'll ask what it's based on.
- As a friend
- You're usually the one who posts the time and place in the group chat. You keep a few old friends close, and even if you don't text much, you show up when it counts.
