The innkeeper
You say it's all fine and remember every slight
Out front, hands-on, by the heart, staying put.
Hard truths
you won't like these- 01Feeding everyone, you eat yours cold
- 02You can't say no, so the work keeps sticking to you
How you got here
ESFJAbout you
You'd have kept the place everyone passing had to pass through. You'd have noticed first who was hungry and who was ailing, and ladled out an extra bowl without counting it as trouble. Drawing energy from people, a crowded room wouldn't have drained you — it would have pleased you.
You'd have put warmth ahead of the reckoning. A tab left unpaid on a sad enough story, and you'd have let it go — not for missing the loss but for minding the person more. The house was never short of company because of it, though your own share often slid to the back.
You held one spot and tended it long. Rather than long for the road, you found your reward in caring for whoever arrived — so every affair of the village crossed your floor. If you still put yourself last while looking after everyone else, that grain runs deep.
