You'd have been deft at fixing and forging by hand. Few words, but a fine touch with a tool — bring something broken and you'd have taken its workings apart, then quietly brought it back. You spoke through the finished thing, so the skill was real and unshown.
You judged by reason. Rather than be pulled by feeling you looked first at why it came to be this way, and so you seemed cold when it was really an accurate eye for the problem. Sparing of idle words, the one word you gave was exact.
You chafed at a pinned seat and gave yourself to the flow. You moved as your hands led rather than plan tight, and in a crisis that improvisation shone. If your hands still move before your mouth and you must take a thing apart to rest easy, that temper is old.
