The cool cat
You fix by hand what needed saying and keep your mouth shut
Barely talks, quietly fixes whatever's broken.
Hard truths
you won't like these- 01You care and sum it up in a single “yeah”
- 02It's clumsiness, not indifference — and you get misread for it
How you got here
ISTPAbout you
Few words, fast hands. When something breaks you've already got it open before the explanation finishes, and it usually works afterwards. Asked how, you say 'just did' — not modesty, there genuinely aren't words for it.
You're the calmest person in an emergency. While everyone else is panicking, the situation registers before the feelings do, and the first thing to do is simply visible. It's a good type to have nearby when something goes wrong.
Putting feeling into words is the hard part. Even with someone you care about the sentences stay short, which gets read as indifference, though it's all being done in actions instead — fixing, driving, quietly covering things.
Being tied down is the real intolerance. Ask for constant reporting or strict procedure and half the ability disappears. Left alone, this type produces far better work, so trust runs it better than management does.
When interest dies it shows on your face immediately. Faking engagement isn't available, so a dull room makes you visibly quiet. Which means if this type has stayed with something a long time, the liking is real.
Handling tools is another marker. A new piece of kit gets learned by hand before the manual, and before long you're the one showing others. In a field you care about the depth you go to is serious, so hobbies quietly become the thing people call you an expert in — you just don't advertise it, so only the people close by know.
